Dennis Ntege - Operations Director:

Dennis is full of enthusiasm and carries his smile on his sleeve like many Ugandans. He is wonderful company and ensures that everyone who joins a rafting trip with Adrift will have some of the most memorable days of their lives.

Juma Tiri - Head River Guide

Juma was Uganda’s first river guide and started guiding on the Nile in 1997. He is now a seasoned veteran of the legendary Nile rapids having run the river many more times than anyone else. Juma is a family man and supports his wife in her pharmacy when he is not pulling people from the river.

Cam McLeay: Managing Director

Cam led the first-ever descent of the Victoria Nile in Uganda in 1996 and is one of the most experienced guides in the industry. For over 20-years he has rafted around the globe on numerous rivers including Rio Bio Bio (Chile), Coruh (Turkey), Muk-su (Tadjikistan), Indus (Pakistan), Zambezi (Zambia), Grand Canyon (US), Karnali (Nepal), Omo (Ethiopia) and Belaya (Russia)

Geoffrey Kabirya - Raft Guide

Geofrey is one of Uganda’s best whitewater kayakers and finished an incredible 21st in the World Rodeo Championships held in Australia in early 2004. He has been to Kampala only 5-times in his life and the 5th time was to fly to Australia.

Moses Tebesigwa- Photographer

Like his older brother Juma, Moses grew up metres from the Nile (but knows nothing about a reed basket) and used to be a fisherman. He scrambles onto mid-stream rocks and hangs from tree branches to capture the most incredible images of our rafts in action.

Paul Washooka - Senior Kayaker

Paul is an exceptional kayaker from the village of Wakisi near the Nile. He almost made the Uganda team this year and he is an expert paddler. Paul provides sounds support for our rafts trips.

Tutu Kiraza - Senior Kayaker

Tutu grew up on the banks of the Nile and swims to work from his village across the river! It is hard to wipe the smile from his face even when he is upside down. He has spent more time in the Nile than many fish.

Bernard Katende - Bus Driver:

Katende is master of the most dangerous job in our business. For over seven years, he has safely driven us on Uganda’s roads and continues to ensure we get to and from the river safely. He plays a big part in ensuring all of our trips run smoothly.

Kenneth Adruga - Warehouse Manager

Kenneth has an infectious sense of humour and is as solid a character as he looks. Originally from Rhino Camp in northern Uganda, he is a master of repairing rafts and kayaks.

Sadul Khadiri - Safety Kayaker

Sadul grew up with roar of the Nile. He began working for Adrift as a porter carrying rafts and eventually plucked up courage to raft the river despite not being able to swim. He is now an accomplished kayaker and an important part of the Adrift team.

Benny Ahimbisibwe - Safety Kayaker:

Ben’s primary job is to collect swimmers who find themselves separated from the rafts. He greets everyone with a smile and despite his size, he is able to haul the largest loads back the raft. He is always a very popular guy by the end of the rafting day.

Ibra Ewulima -  Bungee Recovery

Ibra is one of the first smiling faces you see at the bottom of Nile High Bungee. He helps you aboard the cataraft after your jump and delivers ecstatic jumpers to terra firma. Ibra is a welcoming figure at Nile High Camp.

Ronnie Bujowali - Safety Kayaker:

Ronnie is another up and coming talent in a whitewater kayak. He lives near the river, spends most of his days kayaking the massive rapids on the Nile and spends his spare time with his wife and young son.

Richard Omeri - Truck driver:

More commonly known as ‘Landy’ because of his affection for our old Landrover, Richard is a star when it comes to transferring all of our rafting equipment around. He is an important part of our amazing team who make Adrift the company it is today.

Richard - Bungee Recovery and Lunch Preparation:

Amongst stiff competition, Richard probably smiles more than any of our staff. He is behind the infamous Adrift lunch on Wakisi island and is a veteran of bungee jump recovery. He lives at Nile High Camp.

Yasin Kabunga -Rafting Consultant

Yasin’s quiet manner belies his ability. He is constantly dashing around Kampala making sure photo CDs are delivered, advising on T-shirt colours and ensuring everyone gets what they need from our office.
